About the Resort

La Plagne consists of 6 high altitude resorts which are linked together by a free shuttle bus which runs from 8am until midnight! These are Aime-La-Plagne at the height of 2,100m, Belle Plagne at the altitude of 2,050m, Plagne Village and Plagne Soleil at 2,050m, Plagne Bellecote at 1,970m, Plagne Centre at 1,970m and Plagne 1800 at 1,800m! There are also four village resorts: Champagny en Vanoise at a height of 1,250m, Plagne Montalbert at 1,350m, Montchavin at 1,250m and Les Coches at 1,450m. All resorts open around the middle of December and close for skiing until near the end of April.

New developments for the 2010/11 ski season include: a new black run linking Col de la Chiaupe to Les Bauches, the Les Coches-Montchavin blue run to be reduced in difficulty and more snowmaking coming on-stream for Plagne 1800 and Montalbert. Previously, for the 2009/10 ski season, new investment secured a new six-pack at Plagne Soleil replacing the previous drag lift and chair lift combination and there were capacity enhancements on the Champagny gondola.
