About the Resort
There are many places to visit both in the nearby Morzine resort and Avoriaz itself after a day's skiing has finished. There is something for pretty much everyone in the numerous restaurants and bars around the two resorts.
One of the main benefits of this resort is that it really is car free from the paths and pistes. Added to this is that is also very high up, with some slopes even being beneath the resort, at 1800m. This means that there is almost always plenty of snow around the place for a true white and scenic holiday. Some of the hotels on offer give amazing views of the surrounding area and if possible we really suggest booking with one of these.
Apres ski is well catered for with numerous restaurants and bars. There is also the possibility of going down to Morzine for more of a selection. It should be noted that at present, pedestrians are not allowed to ride the chair lifts so people looking for an Alpine experience off the slopes might be better suited elsewhere.
