About the Resort

"The real ski-in and ski-out concept - Or call it ski-to-your-door... Whatsoever, nothing could be more simple than skiing in Val Thorens. With its ideal position, wherever you are staying in the resort, the skiing is always on your doorstep. With a pair of skis you have access to an amazing ski area without losing any time!
For security reasons as well as the comfort of our clients, traffic is restricted in Val Thorens and parking is controlled. Now a pedestrian resort, stopping in front of the place you're staying at is of course allowed in order to unload your luggages. But then, your vehicle will have to be parked in one of the open-air or covered lots of the resort, where the VALTHOPARC team will welcome your 24h/24h. Then a free shuttle service is at your disposal to reach your hotel or apartment.
This system of compulsory paying car parks is a necessity for resorts which, like Val Thorens, can face extreme weather conditions. But making up for the organisational constraints that this induces, pedestrians and drivers will definitely appreciate the resulting sense of well-being...and the clean air that this sytems brings." Tour Operators
"Val Thorens is compact and purpose-built and is Europe's highest village. Set in a huge ski bowl, with runs fanning out in all directions, providing excellent snow conditions throughout the season. Ski down the valley to Les Menuires and the wonderful La Masse area and then pop over to nearby Courchevel and Meribel on the massive Three Valleys circuit. This is some of the most amazing skiing in the world." - Crystal Ski
"At 2,300m, Val Thorens is the highest resort in the French Alps and the Three Valleys, boasting an excellent snow record and extensive ski network. This modern, purpose-built resort is a fine choice for all keen skiers; the main square and its sunny restaurants are right on the piste! Lifts take you up to Paclet and the 3195m Cime de Caron. Further down the Belleville Valley lies the neighbouring, purpose-built resort of Les Menuires and the old village of St Martin and with a Three Valleys ski pass you can enjoy a fantastic network of runs." - Thomson Ski
